Andrew McDonald, currently an Undergraduate at Fordham University, serves as an assistant student worker for WFUV. Born in Sacramento, California's capital, Andrew owes much of his interest in history, U.S. elections, and radio to his upbringing, which included daily commutes to school with his parents listening to NPR affiliate KXJZ Capital Public Radio.

At Fordham, Andrew is pursuing a double major in History and Political Science, with a focus on U.S. electoral history. Since joining WFUV's social media team at the start of 2024, he has expanded his role to include developing and publishing the station's newsletter and social media posts for WFUV News. Andrew hosts the "What's What" 3pm Newscast & Podcast every Monday, where he reports and produces content focusing on New York State, mayoral, and city council news. He also produces the "What's What Weekly" Newsletter every Friday.

Looking ahead, Andrew hopes to continue focusing on how elections and political power can affect people's daily lives in his career far into the future.
