Andrew McDonald serves as an assistant student worker for WFUV, where he helps develop and publish the newsletter and social media posts for WFUV News, in addition to reporting, producing, and hosting for the station’s "What's What" news podcast. Outside of  WFUV, Andrew is currently an Undergraduate at Fordham University, pursuing a double major in History and Political Science with a focus on U.S. electoral history. Andrew was born in Sacramento, the capital of California, and owes a lot of his interest in history, U.S.  elections, and radio to his upbringing, much of which included listening to the NPR affiliate KXJZ Capital Public Radio practically every day with his parents on his way to school. 

Andrew started working for WFUV at the start of 2024 as a part of WFUV’s social media team, but since then, he has expanded his efforts to be more heavily involved in producing news content relating to New York State, mayoral, and city council news for the "What's  What" news podcast and general midday newscasts at the station. He hopes to continue to focus on how elections and political power can affect people’s daily lives in his career far into the future. Andrew is currently the host of the What's What 3pm Newscast & Podcast every monday.
