Zohran Mamdani Wants Younger Leaders

Zohran Mamdani is running to become the next Mayor of New York City. Over the past few months, he has emerged as a front-runner in the tightly-packed race. I sat down with the lawmaker in the last weeks of the Democratic Primary to hear his vision for the future of this city.
From his time as a student journalist, to being a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, we talked about his political experience and how it has shaped his ideas throughout this campaign.
As he puts it, a lot of the political establishment has thrown its support behind the former New York governor and now rival candidate, Andrew Cuomo. But Mamdani has still secured endorsements from prominent progressive figures, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Bernie Sanders and fellow candidate Brad Lander.
