Robin Shannon, WFUV's News and Public Affairs Director and morning news anchor, is a full-blown Jersey girl.  Robin's plunge into the world of radio relied on fate. Originally planning to make films in Georgia, a family emergency brought Robin back to New Jersey and a business reporter friend persuaded her into radio. She hasn't looked back since.

"Radio is a great companion," Robin says. "The right combination of songs can create the soundtrack for your day."

Robin joined WFUV after a four-year tenure at NJN Public Radio, where she was appointed to the dual positions of Morning Edition host and reporter. Robin previously served seven years as Morning Edition host and Public Affairs Director at New Jersey's WBJB-FM. She also holds a Master of Arts in Corporate and Public Communications from Monmouth University. She was Assistant News and Public Affairs Director at WFIV-FM prior to her present position.
