  • Watch: St. Vincent's "Cruel"

St. Vincent, aka Annie Clark, releases her next album, Strange Mercy, on September 13 Stateside via 4AD (and on September 12 in the UK) and just debuted the video for "Cruel," via The Huffington Post.  The video, shot over two days in the Bay area and directed by frequent St. Vincent collaborator Terri Timely, features our singing heroine being buried alive. Strong, eerie stuff.  Clark plays New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art tonight, August 25 ... if the rooftop event isn't rained out. The show is sold out, but she's back for a Webster Hall gig on November 3 during her fall tour which launches on October 2 in Minneapolis. [video:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Itt0rALeHE8]
