On tonight's leisurely, long-weekend "UKNY" at 11 p.m., an FUV Live session with Slowdive, who visited Studio A for the first time this autumn for a set drawn mostly from their new, fifth album, Everything is Alive.

I also spoke with all five members — Neil Halstead, Rachel Goswell, Simon Scott, Nick Chaplin, and Christian Savill — about their stop-and-start journey of over 30 years, the challenges encountered while recording this new album, and the nuts-and-bolts of how they work together.

Also, new releases from a dreamy band that recently opened for Slowdive and have a debut EP, London's deary, plus Hastings' combustible rockers HotWax (playing Mercury Lounge this Thursday, 11/30) and Mumbai's Sandunes.

British and international releases on "UKNY," Sundays from 11p.m.-midnight, on 90.7 FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.

Songs played:

1. An FUV Live session with Slowdive (featuring “Kisses,” “Shanty” and “Sugar for the Pill”
2. Whitelands, “The Prophet & I,” single
3. deary, “Beauty in All Blue Satin,” deary EP
4. (Mumbai, IN) Sandunes, “Pelican Dance,” The Ground Beneath Her Feet
