FUV Live concerts seem drawn from a lifetime ago — but it was only late January when I had the chance to host Temples at Rockwood Music Hall. On tonight's UKNY at 11, it feels oddly appropriate to revisit a joyful concert from a band that broke through in 2012 with "Shelter Song," their first single, and that's what I'll do tonight.

The quartet of lead guitarist James Bagshaw, bassist Thomas Warmsley, rhythm guitarist Adam Smith (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Noel Fielding), and touring-turned-official drummer Rens Ottink were on the road this past winter, promoting their hazy, blissed-out voyage of a third album, Hot Motion. They span their career in this Rockwood set, capped off by a totally transporting jam on "Mesmerise."

With the help and guidance of FUV's engineering department, we're working towards recording new episodes of UKNY from my home, which we hope to get rolling by later this month. In the meantime, I'm grateful for the badly needed diversion of music to help us get through this impossible time.

UKNY airs 11p.m.-midnight on 90.7, also streaming online and found in the Weekend Archives for two weeks after broadcast.

Take care and stay well.
