"Marquee Live at Home" with Lake Street Dive

We're so glad a "Marquee Live at Home" show let us welcome our friends Lake Street Dive back to the WFUV airwaves. Rachael Price, Mike "McDuck" Olson, Bridget Kearney, Mike Calabrese and Akie Bermiss came us to us from The Bunker Studio in Brooklyn with a batch of new songs to play, as well as a couple of sentimental favorites to boot.

As the band told me in a mid-set chat, the new Lake Street Dive album, Obviously, was recorded just barely pre-pandemic, and almost a year later, this live session was one of the quintet's first performances back together again in the same room. So even though connecting with the band via Zoom is anything but "same old," they could share the great Rachael and Akie duet, "Same Old News," the powerful, Bridget-penned "Being A Woman" and more, with that signature interplay and energy.

Setlist:

  • Hypotheticals
  • Nobody’s Stopping You Now
  • Same Old News
  • Being A Woman
  • Bad Self Portraits
  • Thank You For Being a Friend
