"Cavalcade" at 6 p.m. takes dance steps into autumn as Father John Misty and Omar Apollo weave familiar '70s-'80s grooves into their latest songs. The storied jazz-funk combo The Headhunters return, plus punky, noisy fun from Boston bar-brawlers Dropkick Murphys and L.E.S. artistes Spike Polite and Michelle Shocked.

A tequila-spiked toast to late Eagles songwriter J.D. Souther sets the gentle mood of autumn at its start.

The Golden Hour is getting earlier, but "Cavalcade" is right on time, Sundays 6-9 p.m. on 90.7 FM, streaming online, or on your time, on demand in the Archives.
