Cavalcade for May 3

"Cavalcade" welcomes Joe Jackson at 4 p.m. for conversation and tracks from his just-released Hope and Fury album.
Joe's songs paint vignettes of the working class English world that still serves as a part-time home, along with songs of life transition and the simple joys of music. And it's all with that rich Jackson tonal palate, setting up his wry and insightful lyrics in a fresh album that will rank among his best.
At 6 p.m. the "Cavalcade" Golden Anniversary LP Crate Dig rummages through May 1976 album releases, with Billy Joel, Steely Dan, Warren Zevon and Aerosmith in the bins right alongside Roy Ayers, Jeff Beck, Poco, and The Runaways.
That's "Cavalcade," from 4-7 p.m. on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
