Benham Jones on the mic for Corny O'Connell today. It's the 73rd birthday of British mainstay and multigenre innovator Steve Winwood, so let's give him some higher love with today's Question of the Day.

With a career spanning nearly 60 years — Winwood was just 14 when he formed the Spencer Davis Group with Welsh guitarist Davis — Winwood's half dozen bands and innumerable collaborations offer fertile ground with many choices.

Let us know your favorite Winwood songs or collaborations and we will spin a set a little after 9 a.m.

As an aside, today is also my father's 65th birthday and we listened to a lot of Traffic tapes in his '89 Ford Ranger while I was growing up, so lets goooooooo.

Songs played:

1. Steve Winwood, "Why Can't We Live Together"
2. Traffic, "Medicated Goo (Live from the Canteen)"
3. Spencer Davis Group, "Gimme Some Lovin'"
4. Alison Krauss, "Can't Find My Way Home"
