June is New York Music Month and you can see me at two events — and I'd love to see you out there!

This Wednesday, June 3, is the NYMM Conference at NYU's Skirball Center, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. At 5:20 p.m., I'll be moderating a panel called "Making It As An Indie Artist in NYC" joined by Taja Cheek (L'Rain), Cautious Clay, Margaret Glaspy, Anik Khan, and Anand Wilder. Tickets are on sale now via New York Music Month.

And, on Tuesday, July 23, I'll be hosting the free Radio City: NY Slice Showcase at Market Hotel in Brooklyn with a trio of outstanding acts: Katzin, Planta Industrial, and BODEGA.

New York bedroom pop artist Katzin, real name Zion Battle, excels in music with an airy feel to it. His songs sounds like sunshine but have heavy lyrical weight. It's easy to get swept up in his orbit. He may be a one-man act, but his presence fills up the whole room.

Planta Industrial are an incredibly dynamic duo coming out of the Bronx. Saso and AKA The Darknight make music that fuses punk, pop, rock and Spanglish rap. They are like nothing you've ever heard before and you will definitely be impressed by their skills and music.

BODEGA is one of the most fun bands in NYC. Their music is rooted in rock but it's psychedelic and funky too. Their live shows are raucous and very high energy.
