Warren Haynes: Q&A 2025

Warren Haynes checked in with details on Gov't Mule's upcoming New Year's Eve shows at the Beacon Theatre on December 30 and 31, along with his latest music collaboration with Derek Trucks.

"Every year is different," says Haynes. "This year's theme is 1971." Haynes was partly inspired by the eight-part 2021 documentary "1971: The Year That Music Changed Everything" and talks about Bill Withers, Janis Joplin, John Lennon, Elton John and other influences from that year.

In addition, Haynes chatted about a recent benefit in honor of his friend Bruce Willis and others living with frontotemporal dementia as well as his solo touring plans in 2026.
