I was so psyched to get the New York City-based trans-punk and self-described “slut rock” duo Um, Jennifer? to come up to FUV. I've played them twice on "NY Slice" and that's usually an indication, to me, that a band merits even closer attention.

I had also been told by a couple of different people that Elijah Scarpati and Fig Regan's live shows as Um, Jennifer? are absolutely thrilling. Turns out, the rumors are true. Um, Jennifer? — which also included Jada Alfred on bass and drummer Grayson Ellis for this performance —  turned Studio A into a sweaty little rock club the day they visited. After their performance, we chatted about 2024 EP, The Girl Class, their latest single "Fishy," and plans for the future which at the time included their first Music Hall of Williamsburg gig opening for Towa Bird.

Below, Um, Jennifer? in Studio A playing "Girl Class" and "Went on T," plus Elijah and Fig tackle the "NY Slice Pop Quiz."
