Adventurous musicians dominate UKNY at 11 tonight, with the hopeful return of Salford's Ren Harvieu, survivor of serious health challenges, who is releasing her first new single in seven years. The witty London trio Girl Ray is also back, with an abundance of fresh ideas, looking ahead to the release of their second album, Girl, on November 8.

Two notable releases ahead on October 25: The brilliant, seemingly indefatigable composer Anna Meredith arises with the arresting FIBS, her sophomore album, and Dry Cleaning, led by frontwoman Florence Shaw, have a second EP in the wings, Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks, which swiftly follows the band's debut EP, Sweet Princess, from earlier this summer.

Also included in tonight's mix will be a previously unreleaed 1998 Peel Session with Boards of Canada, a cheeky single from Gabi Garbutt & the Illuminations, and Aldous Harding and Tiny Ruins, both playing Music Hall of Williamsburg tomorrow night, September 30.

That's UKNY tonight from 11 p.m.-midnight, also available on demand after broadcast in the Weekend Archives.
