UKNY for September 17

The xx's Romy has set flight on her solo debut album, Mid Air, which was finally released earlier this month. Back in June, Romy joined me for a very special hour of "UKNY" as guest DJ. She has also just announced a North American tour this autumn too, which includes a date at Webster Hall on December 7th.
Now that the album is out in the world, I thought it would be a nice opportunity to revisit that hour in which Romy chose songs that she not only spins when handling her own deejaying gigs, but also influenced some of the songs found on Mid Air.
She also chatted about her work with Fred Again and Stuart Price on the album and how memories of her late mother influenced one of her more poignant videos. Romy picks songs by Robyn, TSHA, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, and much more.
