It's been a very nice few weeks for Wolf Alice. Not only did the London quartet's fourth album, The Clearing, debut at No. 1 on the UK album charts upon its arrival, but on Wednesday, but they received their fourth nomination for the Mercury Prize. (Wolf Alice won in 2018 for Visions of a Life). Since the band is headed to New York for a couple of shows this week, including Brooklyn Paramount on September 19, "UKNY" at 11 p.m. leads off with their most recent single, described by Ellie Rowsell as an anthem of female friendship.

Another gotta-see-them-live London group headed to Brooklyn this week is Warmduscher, who are booked at Elsewhere on September 18. Last year, the sextet released Too Cold To Hold, and now they've got a new single, recorded in sessions for that album and described by frontman Clams as having a "sleazy, cinematic" vibe.

The Isle of Wight's Wet Leg are on the isle of New York this week with two sold-out shows at Central Park SummerStage on September 17 and Brooklyn Paramount on September 18. Last year's Mercury Prize winners English Teacher are NYC bound again with three sold-out shows the week September 22 at TV Eye, Mercury Lounge, and Night Club 101.

Belfast's Mount Palomar has a new track from his upcoming Feeding Frenzy EP, due out on Nice Swan, and Nadeem Din-Gabisi leans into his poetry for the insightful Offshore. Also, Westside Cowboy, NewDad, Gruff Rhys, and more.

That's "UKNY," Sundays from 11pm-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
