UKNY For October 8
Over the next month or so there are some exciting British bands headed to New York for gigs. So tonight on UKNY at 11, we'll hear from some of them, like Glasgow's Honeyblood (Baby's All Right on October 26), Blaenavon (Baby's All Right on November 1 and Berlin on November 2), and Sundara Karma (Gramercy Theatre on November 14 as part of the BBC Music Presents tour).
Also, a small salute to the brilliant and influential English conductor Sir Neville Marriner, founder of the influential Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, who passed away last Sunday, October 2, at the age of 92.
