UKNY for October 31
While there's only a tiny handful of Halloween songs on tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m. — a few spirits of the past — there are plenty of sweet treats. Metronomy surprised everyone with a surprise EP, barely a month ago, and now they're back with a first single from a forthcoming seventh album, called Small World, that drops in February (yes, we're talking 2022 releases already).
Alfa Mist has a new EP out on November 17 called Two for Mistake — and he's also headed to the States for his first-ever tour next spring, including a stop at National Sawdust. London's joyful collective, Ibibio Sound Machine, has a fresh release too, a collaboration with Hot Chip.
Also in the mix? Welsh sextet Melin Meyln, New York's The Forms, London duo Dirty Nice, and the downtempo "Downtown" turn from Anya Taylor-Joy from the "Last Night in Soho" soundtrack.
Much more too on "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight on 90.7, streaming online, and available in the Weekend Archives after broadcast.
