UKNY for October 30
South London's Bleach Lab drop their next EP, If You Only Feel It Once, this Friday, November 4. On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., a song from the dream-pop weavers' latest release.
Edinburgh's Young Fathers, winners of the Mercury Prize in 2014, return with a new album on February 3, Heavy Heavy, and the latest single fulfills that mission, with a gruff track that the band calls a bully. On the opposite side of the soundscape, Scottish pianist Fergus McCreadie's third album, Forest Floor, is a walk through the natural world. The album, nominated for a 2022 Mercury Prize, was named the 2022 Scottish Album of the Year this month.
Plus, new releases from Björk, Sweden's mysterious GOAT, and the Glasgow duo Poster Paints.
That's "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7 FM, streaming online, or available in the Weekend Archives after broadcast.
