UKNY for October 20
The South Devon-Yorkshire trio Pale Blue Eyes released their second album, This House, in 2023 and spent this past year touring, from opening for Slowdive to running the gauntlet of European summer festivals — and they recorded a new album too. On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., that first new song off of PBE's forthcoming third record.
Manchester poet and musician Antony Szmierek has announced his debut album, Service Station at the End of the World, released February 28, and from that, his latest single about an odd, abandoned pyramid in Stockport. Also, Obongjayar delves into dance mode, Swansea Sound fears that history teaches us nothing, and Seafarers set sail via their lovely third album, Another State. And Laura Marling sings a gentle lullaby to her daughter — and has sold-out residencies ahead in London and New York this autumn.
All that and more on "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
