FUV loves it when musicians bring along their dogs to the station — and over the years, The Japanese House's Amber Bain, Lady Blackbird, and Perfume Genius's Mike Hadreas have all been accompanied by their beloved furry pals to their FUV Live sessions.

I love dogs and always make a mental note of dogs trotting through songs, both actual canines and those that live in metaphors; the late Jane Goodall also cited dogs as her favorite animal. So tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., is a bit of a tribute to Jane: an hour of those woof-wonderful tracks, including one tune from The Japanese House about the scrumptious dachshund pictured here in Amber's embrace: the famous Joni Jones.

Plus, Kate Bush, Nat Johnson, Dry Cleaning, BC Camplight, Husky Gawenda, Ghostpoet, M(h)aol, and more ways to work in dogs, however I can.

That's "UKNY," an hour of British and global music, Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.

1. Dry Cleaning, “Dog Proposal,” Boundary Road Snacks and Drinks EP
