It's a balmy November, requests for end-of-year "best of" album lists are already stacking up, but there's a handful of songs that I've been meaning to play over the last couple of months—really long songs.

I managed to slip one lengthy track into the show last week—Hot Chip's 11-minute-plus remix of New Order's "Tutti Frutti"—and on UKNY tonight at 11, a few more tracks that clock in way past the seven minute mark by the gifted Floating Points (playing Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight as part of the Brooklyn Electronic Music Festival), Mercury Prize nominee Roísín Murphy and more. Marathon tracks in a post-New York City Marathon week.

Also, slightly shorter new releases from The Hanging Stars, Tindersticks and a compelling track from Fold that samples wise words from a 91-year-old former President who spent his week volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, joined by his equally handy wife.

Missed the show? You can catch up to UKNY on demand in the FUV weekend archives up to two weeks after broadcast.
