UKNY for November 4
One of the most eclectic and adventures international music festivals for mostly emerging artists, Iceland Airwaves gets underway this Wednesday, November 7, and continues until Saturday, November 10. On UKNY at 11, a preview of some of the British, Icelandic and Irish musicians scheduled to be in Reykjavík this year, including the Orielles, Between Mountains (pictured), Hugar, Blood Orange, Girl Ray, Gróa, Fontaines D.C. and more.
Over 240 bands and artists are part of this year's Iceland Airwaves lineup, and most significantly, the music festival is the first to ever achieve gender parity, with an equal number of male and female acts booked. That is certainly something to celebrate.
Also, since Paul Weller was our latest FUV Essentials focus on Friday, a set from the Modfather too.
Sunday nights at 11 too late for you? Catch up to UKNY at your leisure via the Weekend Archives.
