UKNY for November 16

Dundalk's Just Mustard has nailed the sound of stormy autumnal angst and beauty, realized on the band's third album, We Were Just Here, which arrived with the tumble of fallen leaves in late October. On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., another track from the quintet's marvelous haze of dark euphoria, led by Katie Ball's sweet sigh of a voice.
Julie Dawson of Galway's NewDad not only has her own band's fantastic new album, Altar, but she's also on board Daniel Avery's new album, Tremor: so a double dose of Dawson ahead.
Looping back too to a terrific Irish band, Belfast's ferocious Chalk, who are in New York this week, bringing their tempest to Baby's All Right on November 20.
Connie Constance is back with a new single, her first since her 2022 album Miss Power. Mighty Manchester quartet Westside Cowboy have dropped yet another twangy blast from their second EP, So Much Country 'Till We Get There, due out in January.
Also, songs from The Belair Lip Bombs, Oklou, The Last Dinner Party, Robert Plant, Rosalía's saintly Lux, Jay Som's perfect pairing with Mini Trees, Manchester's Nightbus, and much more.
British and global releases on "UKNY," Sundays 11pm-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
