UKNY for November 10
It has been a very long week, punctuated by jet lag. I've just returned from a two-week stay in London, which coincided with the late October release of three excellent albums from The Cure, Underworld, and Laura Marling. On tonight's "UKNY," deep tracks from those releases, including a haunting duet between Underworld's Karl Hyde and American singer and songwriter Nina Nastasia that suits the ruminative mood of this chilly Sunday.
Also, new singles with wistful autumnal vibes from Romy and Sampha, Glasgow's C Duncan, and London-born, Paris-based Flora Hibberd. There's a new Kevin Ayers box set, All This Crazy Gift of Time — The Recordings 1969-1973 too, out now on the Cherry Red label.
That's "UKNY," Sundays from 11 p.m. to midnight on 90.7 FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
