Glaswegian twins Rachael and Paul Swinton, who record as Cloth, released their third album, Pink Silence, in late April. An exquisite, dreamy album that precisely captures that in-between essence of dawn and dusk, it flows with Owen Pallett's string arrangements, Portishead's Adrian Utley on synths, and a beguiling cool calm. On "UKNY" tonight at 11 p.m., one of Cloth's lovely new songs. Also, Rachael lands on a song from Pale Blue Eyes' new New Place as well.

Self Esteem's Rebecca Lucy Taylor also released her dynamic third solo album, A Complicated Woman, on the last Friday of April, and led up to that release with a sold-out residency at London's Duke of York's in mid-April, a brilliant synthesis of Taylor's songs with performance art, musical theatre, and dance. Taylor was so enthusiastically received by the crowd at the Saturday matinee that I'd attended, that she became emotional by show's end, wiping tears from her eyes as she was embraced by her backing singers and dancers. There's so much to dig into with this terrific new album — one that Taylor admits was more of a difficult labor than she had anticipated.

Manchester's fantastic Westside Cowboy are back with their second single and Little Simz has dimensions of freedom on her mind. Expect a flock of Carolines — as the London-based octet Caroline connects with Caroline Polachek — and a giddy, addictive new single from American producer Avalon Emerson, who played the Knockdown Center last night. And Black Country, New Road have multiple dates in New York this week; I'll get to another excellent track from their new record, Forever Howlong.

Plus fresh releases from Nilüfer Yanya, The Beths, Jorja Smith, and much more.

That's "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast,
