New shows, recorded from the desktop home studio, return on "UKNY" next week, but tonight at 11, revisiting a theme show about something much missed in these pandemic days: the freedom to travel everywhere by train.

British, European and American trains (and the tube) are the conduit to escape, adventure, and even heartbreak in songs by Marika Hackman, St. Etienne, Underworld, Teleman, Poppy Ackroyd, Groove Armada's Andy Cato and others as we leave home via our imaginations and zone out to the rhythms of the rails.

"UKNY" airs from 11 p.m. to midnight on Sundays on 90.7, streaming online at WFUV.org and available in the Weekend Archives too.
