For an artist like Watford-born, London-based Connie Constance, real name Constance Power, her desires as a musician didn't always align with what labels wanted. But breaking with a major label as the world tilted into the pandemic lockdown, and now signing with indie Play It Again Sam, signals another new beginning for the genre-blurring artist. She has released a fierce new single, what she calls a "wake-up call" that she needed, that kicks off tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m.

The wonderful, Totnes-bred trio Pale Blue Eyes has dropped another new song, aligning with the announcement of their debut album, Souvenirs, this September. And I'll have more fresh releases from Glasgow's Poster Paints, Melbourne's Dorsal Fins, and the resurrecton of the side project of Fout Tet's Kieran Hebden, KH.

Plus legends pair up with a younger generation: Diana Ross intersects with Tame Impala and Germany's Roosevelt collaborates with one of his heroes, Nile Rodgers.

British and international releases on "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7 FM, streaming online, and in the Weekend Archives after broadcast.
