In 2023, producer and DJ Peggy Gou had one of the biggest dance hits of the year with the platinum-selling, euphoria-making "(It Goes Like) Nanana." The South Korea-born, Berlin-based Gou is on the cusp of releasing her long-anticipated debut album, I Hear You, on June 7 and on "UKNY" tonight at 11 p.m., the latest in Gou's line of buoyant summer-ready singles.

New Delhi's psychedelic, funky alt-rockers Peter Cat Recording Co. sold out all of their New York shows a year ago, and now they're back with not only the announcement of new album, Beta, but more area dates, including Irving Plaza on September 10 and Brooklyn Steel on September 11. I'll get to the breezy and epic first release from Beta (the title is translated as son or daughter in Hindi).

London-based mui zyu's second solo album, nothing or something to die for, was released on Friday, and from that, a haunting new song which features New York's Miss Grit.

It's been 25 years since Matt Johnson and The The released an album, but that all changes on September 6 when the band returns with Ensoulment — an early taste of that album tonight too.

Plus, London's Baba Ali, Paris's L'Impératrice, Brooklyn's Cassandra Jenkins, Valencia's Amor Butano, and more.

British and global releases on "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7 FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
