London's adventurous Man/Woman/Chainsaw have spent the last few years releasing tantalizing, jangling and jagged singles like "Adam & Steve" and "Only Girl," and 2024's Eazy Peasy EP, selling out their UK gigs last fall. The sextet, who got together when they were teenagers, will finally release their debut album, Cannonball, on August 7. On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., kicking off the hour with Man/Woman/Chainsaw's fantastic new single.

And if you've been tapped into the Boards of Canada fan community, you know that 2026 is a holy grail year — the Scottish siblings will finally release their fifth album, Inferno, on May 29 via Warp. It's been 13 years since Tomorrow's Harvest — patience (and an eye to cryptic breadcrumbs) is necessary as a BoC aficionado. This past week, the first two tracks from the album arrived and I'll play both, with a BoC bonus ahead of tonight's 8:01 p.m. sunset.

The bounty of new releases continues with Leeds' Yard Act, who've also announced their third album, You're Gonna Need a Little Music, and a bruising first song from that record, out on July 17 with a tour to follow, including a stop at Brooklyn's Warsaw on August 13.

Also, a second song from Antony Szmierek's forthcoming Decoding Birdsong — his NYC live debut on Saturday night at Baby's All Right was a thrilling triumph for him and his band— as well as new releases from Kent's Big Truck, Copenhagen's Iceage, Norway's Smerz, London's Family Stereo, Margate's Pigeon, and a gorgeous Beth Orton track too.

That's "UKNY," Sundays from 7-8 p.m., on 90,7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
