Although RAYE made BRIT Awards history earlier this year with six wins, the singer's new song — a three-part, seven-minute opus called "Genesis" —takes an even bolder step in her fiercely personal canon. As RAYE, real name Rachel Keen, has described it, the single is "a prayer, a plea, and a cry for help" that reflects these turbulent times, and it took her over a year to refine the track to what she eventually wanted. (She also did multiple pop-up live performances of the song in New York last week, for fans.) On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., this arresting, inventive track in its entirety.

Also in the mix, going deeper into English Teacher's impressive debut album, This Could Be Texas, on the eve of the Leeds band's show at Bowery Ballroom on Monday night. Romy has a breezy new dance tune in time for Pride month, interpolating a '90s hit, and Nottingham's Divorce also have a new song, one that Tiger Cohen-Towell of the group calls an "ode to unconditional love."

I'll also dip into Lucy Rose's beautiful new album, This Ain't the Way You Go Out and take a Stateside turn to Kansas City, for something from The Greeting Committee plus Colombia's Ela Minus too.

British and global releases on "UKNY," Sundays 11 p.m.-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
