UKNY For June 6
There's no greater bliss for musicians than to have the chance to collaborate with the one person who inspired you to play music in the first place — and Chvrches' Martin Doherty says that the chance to work with The Cure's Robert Smith was a dream come true.
"I can't overstate how much of an influence The Cure are on my music, on me as a producer and me as a writer," Doherty told Billboard. "And so that one moment, it was emotional, and it was really intense." On tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., that collaborative song from Chvrches and Smith that will land on the Scottish band's forthcoming album, Screen Violence, released in late August.
Also in the hour, an FUV Live session with Brit Award-winning breakthrough artist of the year Arlo Parks, plus new releases from Wolf Alice, a Berlin-beguiled Public Service Broadcasting, black midi, the Calgary sister duo Cartel Madras, and Norway's Kings of Convenience, releasing their first album in 11 years this summer.
