London's Wolf Alice has released, hands down, one of the very best albums of 2021: Blue Weekend. The band's third full release, it comes four years after Visions of a Life, which won the quartet the Mercury Prize, easily slipping past fellow nominees like Arctic Monkeys and Florence and the Machine.

Blue Weekend reaches for even more ambitious production — Arcade Fire and Coldplay veteran Markus Dravs produces and there's strings this time 'round — and Ellie Rowsell's lyrics are an adroit mix of wit, anguish and confession. On tonight's UKNY at 11, one of the prettiest songs from the album (which the band will also perform in their new session for FUV Live, airing this Tuesday, June 15, at 9p.m. ET).

Also in the mix: Wiltshire's Wasuremono, Manchester's LoneLady and Francis Lung, and Londoners Sons of Kemet and Greentea Peng. Girl Ray hook up with Hot Chip's Joe Goddard and Al Doyle for a new song and there's another inkling of LUMP's forthcoming album, via another quirky teased track from pals Laura Marling and Mike Lindsay.

That's "UKNY," Sundays from 11p.m.-midnight, on 90.7, streaming online, and available in the Weekend Archives after broadcast.
