UKNY For June 10
The past seven days in Britain have been turbulent, charged and highly emotional — the shock of Saturday's attack on London's Borough Market and in the London Bridge area; the hope, healing and unity of the One Love Manchester concert; and the intriguing turn of political direction in the General Election on Thursday. Tonight's UKNY at 11 addresses some of those complex feelings via songs by Ride, Nat Johnson, Tricky, Girl Ray, and Penguin Café.
And there's also a set dedicated to my beloved cat friend, Zoe, who loved music (living with me for over 17 years, she didn't have much choice). She passed away quite suddenly on Sunday and is deeply, terribly, painfully missed.
You can listen to UKNY (and all of our specialty shows) on-demand immediately after broadcast via the new Weekend Archives.
