UKNY for July 6

The start of July 2025 means it's the 12th anniversary of "UKNY," and to mark that occasion, a new occasional feature called the "UKNY Nearly Midnight Mix" which will feature British and global producers/DJs with a 20-25 minute guest mix, just for the show. I'm particularly thrilled that it will debut with Girls of the Internet's Tom Kerridge, just before he makes his Stateside tour debut this month, including a DJ set at Elsewhere on July 12 (joined by Dani Siciliano).
Girls of the Internet's warm, breezy, sumptuous music — a balmy summer night's embrace— is evident on their latest singles, "In My Dreams" and "Forever," which will feature on Tom's 20-minute-plus UKNY mix, along with tracks by Manchester's Loz Goddard, Dorset's Switchblade Sisters, Italy's Santos and more. Girls of the Internet released an album in 2024 too, called When I Was Lost, I Found Myself.

Also on tonight's show, a rangy psychedelic Austin swirl from Kerala Dust, Little Simz with Obongjayar, London collective Kokoroko, France's Oklou, Katie Malco with mui zyu, and the Canadian-American band Jolie Laide.
