UKNY for February 22

A new time for "UKNY" — 7-8 p.m. on Sundays — and it begins with more from Ellur's radiant debut album, At Home in My Mind. The Halifax, Yorkshire singer and songwriter has released a couple of prior EPs, including 2025's confident God Help Me Now, and she surfs a wave of straightforward self-realization on her first album, with gentle strength and serenity.
Joshua Idehen's own debut album has a declarative title that ripples from these fraught times: I know you're hurting, everybody is hurting, everyone is trying, you have got to try. Everything that Idehen has released so far from this record, out on March 6, grasps at joy — and rhythm and love flowing through "This is the Place" is an Alysa Liu free skate of a vibe.
Lily Wolter has released another song as My Precious Bunny, her solo side project away from her usual gig in Penelope Isles. There are more songs flowing from the forthcoming War Child benefit album, HELP (2), including the trio of Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten and Kae Tempest bringing their collaborative smarts together. And London's deathcrash have a new album, Somersaults, due out on February 27, and a celebratory release eve show this week in New York, at Night Club 101 on February 26.
Plus, the dreamy Kloyd, Newcastle's Melanie Baker, Anna Calvi, SAULT, and more.
That's "UKNY," now on Sundays from 7-8 p.m., on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
