UKNY for February 20
Foals release their seventh studio album, Life Is Yours, later this summer and on "UKNY" tonight at 11 p.m., another single from it — which finds the now-trio sounding, in Yannis Philippakis's estimation, the "poppiest" they've ever been.
Norwegian duo Röyksopp are back too, on the brink of releasing their first project since 2014, Profound Mysteries, and they've recruited Alison Goldfrapp for a new single — a deliciously catchy soon-to-be club staple. Belfast's Wynona Bleach have released their debut album, Moonsoake, and the London trio deep tan reflect on a serious topic — the constant unease that women feel when walking alone at night.
Revisting Nilüfer Yanya's astonishing new single "midnight sun" — with a necessary segue — plus more Londoners, the quartet Mylar, have a debut single with a definite Eighties vibe.
British and international releasees on "UKNY," Sundays from 11 p.m.-midnight on 90.7, streaming online, and found in the Weekend Archives after broadcast.
