Yorkshire's The Orielles have returned with a new single that signals a different path, churning with both chaos and quiet, that the trio promises for their fourth album, Only You Left, which arrives in March. Recorded in Hamburg and on the Greek island of Hydra with longtime collaborator Joel Anthony Patchett. The Orielles will continue their tour dates with English Teacher in January.
Dove Ellis's remarkable debut album, Blizzard, is out in the world, a chance to dig more deeply into its treasures. Witch Post have tumbled into late autumn with a new song, one that they call a love letter to their dual experiences of California.
Melbourne pals Radio Free Alice and HighSchool each have gritty new songs and British-born, Stockholm-based Joshua Idehen asks big existential questions on his upcoming album, expansively titled I Know Your Hurting, Everyone is Hurting, Everyone is Trying, You Have Got to Try.
Also, a nighttime sojourn with Alewya, more from Annahstasia's powerful Tether, and the peace-focused centerpiece of Manchester's Maruja's debut album, Pain to Power.
That's "UKNY," Sundays from 11pm-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online, and in the Archives after broadcast.
