UKNY for August 31

Last month, Girls of the Internet's Tom Kerridge launched a new feature that I wanted to introduce to the show called the "UKNY Nearly Midnight Mix," which highlights British and global producers and DJs with 20-30 minute guest mixes. On Sunday night's "UKNY" at 11 p.m., I'm pretty thrilled that Australian producer and DJ HAAi, real name Teneil Throssell, picks up that baton from Tom and contributes the second mix, celebrating the launch of her late summer North American tour which includes a stop at Nowadays in Queens on September 7 as part of the Mister Sunday series with Justin Carter.
HAAi releases her second album, HUMANiSE on October 10 via Mute and it features friends like Jon Hopkins, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor, Obi Franky, KAM-BU, and the Trans Voices choir. HAAi's "UKNY Nearly Midnight Mix" amplifies queer pride and allyship too, with tracks from Ede & Deckert, Cirez D (aka Eric Prydz), and HAAi herself.
Also, recent releases from Galway's NewDad, Melbourne's Radio Free Alice (headed to NYC next month), and Wolf Alice, whose gorgeous fourth album, The Clearing, is released at last.
That's "UKNY," Sundays from 11p.m.-midnight, on 90.7FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.
