UKNY for August 3

A new, industrially atmospheric solo release by New Yorker Caroline Polachek — who has been spending a lot of collaborative time of late with British artists such as These New Puritans, caroline, and Blood Orange —inspired an hour of songs meant for seaside wanderings. Polachek's song, draped in an overcast sky, comes from a video game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, is a collaboration with Danny L. Harle, and it's the first time she's ever composed for a video game.
So there are the crash of ocean waves and cool sea air on tonight's "UKNY" at 11 p.m. with reveries via The Weather Station, Max Cooper, Doves, Anchorsong with Bookend, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Modern Studies, and others beguiled by the shoreline.
