UKNY For August 19
No one could elevate a song to the heavens and transform its very genetic structure quite like Aretha Franklin. On UKNY at 11, a set dedicated to this brilliant artist, courageous woman, fiery activist, and beloved American treasure whose incomparable influence was global. Her death on Thursday, after a long battle with cancer, made the world weep many tears this week.
Also, new releases from Wigan's TVAM, Hackney's Kojey Radical, Cornwall-raised Aphex Twin, and the first single from You Tell Me, the intriguing duo of Field Music's Peter Brewis and Admiral Fallow's Sarah Hayes. The pair will release their debut album in 2019.
