As we teeter on the edge of a sweltering mid-August heat wave, UKNY at 11 opts for a ginger beer and cool new tracks from Micachu & The Shapes, former The History of Apple Pie bassist Kelly Lee Owens (pictured), Palace, and Disclosure. Although it's a slight bending of UKNY's all-British perimeters, a few Texans cross the border, spiritually or physically, to Oxford and Manchester for a couple of songs too.

Also a Commonwealth Cut from the fascinating Perth-based singer and producer Kučka, whose breadth of work includes collaborations with A$AP Rocky, and a happy belated 27th anniversary to The Cure's Robert Smith and his childhood sweetheart Mary Poole.

Missed the show? You can catch up to UKNY on demand in the FUV weekend archives up to two weeks after broadcast.
