Tennis, a husband-and-wife duo, first started making music after they took a very ambitious seven-month long sailing trip. After returning home, Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley began writing songs, influenced by their seafaring adventures. They released their first album, Cape Dory, in 2011 to rave reviews. Evolving from their sailing subject matter over the last few years, Tennis recently released their third album, Ritual in Repeat, and are still basking in praise: Stereogum observes that Tennis finds a way to make “classic rock and radio pop commingle freely into casual grooves and contented sighs" while NPR Music calls Ritual in Repeat “the best record Tennis has done so far."

WFUV staffers have been big fans of every Tennis album and EP and since we've asked them to visit the Bronx twice before, we were delighted to host Patrick and Alaina for a third time in Studio A in support of their new album. During this episode of FUV Live, Tennis delve into a couple of their new songs and discuss their journey as a married couple with music on their minds.
