Telekinesis: 2015
Telekinesis is the brainchild of Seattle-based musician Michael Benjamin Lerner. He released his first record under the Telekinesis moniker in 2009 on Merge Records and now he’s now up to his fourth album, Ad Infinitum.
Looking back on Lerner's catalogue of music, the new record seems to be a natural progression in sound for Telekinesis. However this was a path that he discovered through the help of many friends, including Superchunk frontman and Merge Records founder Mac McCaughan and Spoon drummer and record producer Jim Eno.
During this episode of FUV Live, Michael Lerner and touring Telekinesis member Rebecca Cole play a couple of the new songs, reimagined with stripped-back arrangements in Studio A. We also chat about the new album.
