The State of Eugenics
In the early part of the 20th century, over 30 states took part in a social movement that used forced sterilization on Americans deemed “genetically inferior.” North Carolina was one of the first states to implement the eugenics program, but also one of the first to try and seek justice for victims. A new film tracks their efforts.
