Squirrel Flower: The Sheen Center 2026

There's a degree of nomadic discovery and self-determination steering every Squirrel Flower album onto an open road. On Ella Williams' fourth album as Squirrel Flower, Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going, she's traveling again, car keys in pocket, accelerating through valleys, across mountainous ranges and deserts of experiences and emotions.
Fortunately, Williams and her band — bassist/vocalist Gus Martini, guitarist/vocalist Chet Zenor, and drummer Sean Hallock — pulled along the shoulder of The Sheen Center in early autumn for a rousing FUV Live concert for Marquee members. Her generous 11-track set, which included "Cleveland" — about that very city — gave a muscular live scope to what she accomplished with producer Alex Farrar on Say a Prayer to the Gods of Getting Going, turning gravel, amber honey, and husky twangs into indie rock gold.
