Soul Fire Farm and the Black Agricultural Experience: Part 2
Fordham Conversations guest host David Goodwin, Assistant Director of the Center on Religion and Culture, talks with Soul Fire Farm's Leah Penniman, who has been working to create an uplifting space for Black Americans interested in agriculture. This organization has programs that reach over 10,000 people each year, including farmer training for Black and Brown farmers, and food justice workshops for urban youth. In this second part of our conversation, members of the Fordham University community ask Leah about elevating the Black agricultural experience, and the broader implications of securing legal rights for minority farm workers.
