Sara Watkins: 2016

Singer, songwriter and fiddler extraordinaire Sara Watkins first came to music in the late '80s at the tender age of eight. She started out as one third of the band Nickel Creek. Since that time, Watkins has continued bringing her talents and her collaborative nature to the Decemberists, the Watkins Family Hour (with her brother and Nickel Creek bandmate Sean Watkins), and most recently with Aofie O’Donovan and Sarah Jarosz in the trio I’m With Her.

It’s a full plate to be sure, but along the way Watkins has somehow found time to record and release two solo albums. Now she adds a third with her latest effort, Young in All the Wrong Ways, and she recently stopped by Studio A to share a couple of songs with us, and chat about the new album.
