Ron Gallo: 2018

Ron Gallo’s website introduces him as “a human being most widely associated with music." In a sense, that sums up his approach: human first, musician second.

On his most recent album, Stardust Birthday Party, the Nashville-by-way-of-Philadelphia garage rocker addresses existential questions and spiritual awakening with a punk rock aesthetic, even making room for a minute of "OM" halfway through the album.

It was Gallo's first visit to FUV, and we talked about the journey from his debut, Heavy Meta, to this new collection — and Gallo and his band bring a joyful noise to Studio A.
