Benham Jones here, borrowing the mic from Corny O'Connell and spinning records on a Tuesday. Live from a mobile studio at my parents home in New Haven, taking some quality time with the television and working through my first-ever viewing of "The Sopranos" and the latest Netflix win, "The Queen's Gambit."

The cleverly-paced gamesmanship as these TV heavyweights move through their respective worlds of hidden agendas and intrigue has the greatest game squarely on my mind, so for today's Question of the Day, I'm looking for songs that invoke the vocabulary of a chess match.

Looking forward to a spirited set a little bit after 9 a.m.

Songs played:

1. Tom Petty, "It's Good To Be King"
2. Queen, "Killer Queen"
3. Wilco, "Casino Queen"
4. The Marvelettes, "The Hunter Gets Captured By the Game"
5. Frank Sinatra, "That's Life"
